In 2005 I joined the Bethpage Volunteer Fire Department. Over the past 5 years I have been an active member of Engine Company 7. Since joining the department I have trained and have become an interior firefighter, pump operator, Emergency Medical Technician and level A Hazmat Technician.

Our fire district protects a community of over 30,000 residences and additional businesses. The department responds to about 1400 alarms a year. As a resident of Bethpage I feel it is important to give back to the community. This is my way of doing so. We protect our community by responding to all house fires, building fires, rescues, motor vehicle accidents, hazmat situations and the sick and distressed.
